TOUR DESCRIPTION
Iguazu Falls, one of the most imposing natural attractions in Argentina, and why not in South America. In Guarani language, the term “Iguazú” means “great waters”, a deserved name. It was discovered in 1541 and later established as a Natural World Heritage Site by UNESCO. The falls are part of a practically virgin jungle ecosystem with a wide variety of animals and plants. You will never forget the breathtaking, astonishing view of the roaring water!
Day 1 – Arrival, brazilian side of Iguazu Falls
Arrival at the airport where you will be met by a guide to be transferred to the hotel. After a short break you set off for a visit to the Brazilian side of the falls. The Brazilian side of the park offers you an overwhelming view of the huge waterfalls 2,700m wide and 274 cascades. A walk of only one kilometre over a good forest path brings you to the foot of the falls. You will feel humbled, standing one meter beside this impressive waterfalls. You will have enough time to enjoy the falls, to take pictures, and walk along the different footbridges. At the end of the path, you will find a balcony that is so near the falls that you can get completely wet, for many people a very welcome and refreshing shower. Night in a hotel follows.
Day 2 – Argentinean side of Iguazu Falls (B)
Today enjoy a full day regular tour to the Argentinean side of the falls visiting the three main paths: the upper and lower paths as well as the Devil´s Throat. The Argentine side of the Iguazú Falls surprises with its untouched nature. There are two main paths: an upper and a lower one. The upper path leads you over the edge of the falls. There you can appreciate the height of up to 80m, and the contrast of the quiet water that transforms into these spectacular rushing waterfalls under your feet. An unforgettable experience for your eyes and ears. The lower path goes through the forest and opens marvellous sights among the vegetation. You will not stop taking pictures. The tour also includes a visit to a platform on the upper edge right over the Devil’s Gorge, the highest individual fall, where the water crashes in a breathtaking enormous waterfall from three sides downwards.
Day 3 – Departure (B)
Finally, after breakfast regular transfer with English assistance to the airport and continuation of your own program.
