Day 1 – San José
Arrival at the Juan Santamaria International Airport. A representative from Ave del Sol Travel will meet you in order to transfer you to the hotel. During this first day, we will explain the details of your trip. Overnight at Hotel.  

Day 2 – Doka Coffee Tour, Poas Volcano, La Paz Waterfall Gardens (B, L)
Breakfast at the Hotel. At 07:00 we will depart to Doka. The main objective of the Coffee Tour is to educate and inform the traveller in regards to the whole production process as well as the processing of coffee, where you can learn about the harvesting, the processing plant and the roasting of the grain. Later, we will start our tour to Poas Volcano. As we ascend towards the Poas Volcano we will notice the change in temperature and vegetation; we will see coffee plantations as well as fern, flower and strawberry farms along the way, creating a beautiful landscape. In the Poas Volcano where we will not only admire the impressive main crater with its sulfur fumaroles, but also learn about the different ecosystems in this beautiful national park. Following the visit to the volcano we will continue to La Paz Waterfall Garden for lunch and tour. On arrival to the La Paz, we will walk through a trail, leading to a spectacular waterfall in the middle of the rainforest. Inside the park we will also visit the hummingbird gallery, the serpentarium, the bird house, the butterfly garden and the frog’s exhibit. Back to San Jose. Overnight at Hotel.

Day 3 – Tortuguero National Park (B, L, D)
We begin our trip early in the morning around 6:00am from San Jose. You will be travelling with a bilingual naturalist guide on an air conditioned bus. Drive through Braulio Carrillo National Park, where you have the opportunity to see beautiful views and abundant vegetation. On the way we will stop for breakfast at Selva Tropical Restaurant where you can enjoy a butterfly garden with a variety of tropical flowers. After breakfast we will continue our trip to Caño Blanco deck driving by banana plantations. At Caño Blanco, you will board the covered boat to the lodge, passing the Tortuguero canals arriving between 12:30 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. In the afternoon you will visit to the Turtle Museum of the C.C.C. (Caribbean Conservation Corporation) and then the colourful Tortuguero town. You will return to the lodge around 5:30 p.m. Free time to enjoy the pool, the bar service and prepare for your dinner. Dinner service from 7:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. and then rest of the night free to enjoy your surroundings. Overnight at Hotel. 

Day 4 – Tortuguero National Park, Arenal Volcano (B, L)
6:15 am tour to admire the awakening of the wildlife at Tortuguero. Return for breakfast (service between 7:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m.). At 09:00 we will depart to Arenal Volcano. You can relax and enjoy the hot springs of the Hotel. Overnight at Hotel Arenal Paraíso Resort & Spa. 

Day 5 – Arenal (B, L)
Breakfast at the Hotel. Your day starts with the adventure of the Canopy Tour: More than an adventure, it is a marvellous flight to learn about the flora and fauna of our region. The canopy is located in the Arenal river canyon, where we can offer the perfect blend of nature, adrenaline, adventure, and fun, and where you can see monkeys, a variety of birds and more. Our expert guides will take you from tree to tree across 12 platforms and 11 cables at a height of 80 meters, and ranging in lengths up to 350 meters. In the afternoon a nice walking tour to Arenal Volcano; see up close the activities of the great colossus, its constant emissions of gases, and vapours of water and explosions of reworks. Overnight at Hotel Arenal Paraíso Resort & Spa. 

Day 6 – Monteverde, Viento Fresco (B, L)
Breakfast at the Hotel. Transfer to Monteverde. We will take you around Arenal Lake with magnificent views of the Volcano. On the way, Viento Fresco waterfall is waiting for you. Admire the nature and explore five beautiful waterfalls in the middle of the forest surrounded by vegetation and different animals. Enjoy a one hour walk in the forest with a nice view to Nicoya Gulf, Cerro San José and Cerro Pelado. Viento Fresco has 5 majestic waterfalls located in a private farm surrounded by different species of flora and fauna of the area. After lunch we will continue our journey to Monteverde. In the afternoon, we will visit Selvatura. Located in the heart of the Monteverde Cloud Forest, Selvatura Hanging Bridges consists of one of the few places in Costa Rica that literately take you deep within the primary Monteverde Cloud Forest, providing a precious and unique experience that we guarantee you’ll always remember. Overnight at Hotel.

Day 7 – 9 – NP Manuel Antonio (B)
Breakfast at the Hotel. Later we will depart to the South Pacific to Manuel Antonio National Park. Free Day. Overnight at Hotel. You can spend the next couple of days by relaxing on the beach, snorkelling or discovering Manuel Antonio National Park. 

Den 10 – NP Manuel Antonio , San José (B)
Breakfast at the Hotel. Transfer to Juan Santamaria International Airport.
