Day 1 – Lima
Welcome in Lima. Meet and be greeted by English speaking guide – transfer to the hotel and enjoy some relax time before your adventure begins! Depending on your arrival time in Lima, you can relax in the hotel or head into the streets and explore the city.
Day 2 – Lima – Arequipa (B)
Following breakfast, you will be transported to the airport and short flight to Arequipa follows. After your arrival, English speaking guide will bring you to the hotel. Rest of the day at leisure. Overnight in Arequipa.
Day 3 – Arequipa (B)
Free day in Arequipa. Arequipa is a beautiful city, full of history and made of white stone. You can visit not only the main square, cathedral and museum with frozen Inca princess from the 15th century but also the Santa Catalina Monastery. Historical Centre of the City of Arequipa is on the list of UNESCO. Overnight in hotel.
Day 4 – Colca Canyon (B)
After breakfast, you will be picked up at the hotel to set out for a full-day trip to one of the deepest places on the planet. Colca Canyon reaches a depth of 3400 meters/11.155 feet at the lowest point. The winding road passes by several volcanoes – Misti, Chachani and Ampato. Their peaks are covered by snow. At the edge of the canyon you will be able to observe majestic condors and huge eagles. You will also pass typical small villages Torja, Chucura and Patapampa and stop in one of these villages, called Chivay. Or you can also enjoy a relaxing afternoon in the La Calera thermal spa. Lodging is provided at a hotel close to the Colca Canyon.
Day 5 – Colca Canyon – Puno (B)
Your hotel is located close to the canyon allowing you to set out early in the morning to the “Cruz del Condor“ outlook – the best spot for observing flying condors in this area. Then you will continue through the villages of Pincholo, Yanque, Cabanaconde, Coporaque, with remains of the Inca Empire. A further stop is planned in Ocolle, Chinchinea and Colcas. In the afternoon, you will be driven to Puno, a gateway to the Titicaca Lake, for an overnight stay.
You can can extend your stay by an extra half day. Authentic experience with overnight and daily activities in local community.
Day 6 – Floating islands of Uros and Taquile Island (B, L)
In the morning you will board a boat which will take you for a Titicaca cruise during which you will visit the floating islands of Uros. These islands are man-made from the totora reeds and they are the home of the Uros tribe, one which pre-dates the Incan civilization. You will have a chance to hear their language, Aymara. Afterwards, you will proceed to the Taquile Island which has preserved its old charm by limiting the amount of tourism exposure. It is a peaceful island with no roads or electricity, but there are plenty of hills and archaeological ruins. The native Quechua-speaking people are known for their fine hand-woven textiles and clothing, colourful belts chumpis, caps chullos and sandals ojotas. Return by boat to Puno for the night.

Day 7 – Puno – Cusco by bus (B)
Around 6.30 am you will be taken to a bus station. A bus will take you straight to Cusco. On the way, you will pass typical Peruvian villages, Pucara, Racchi and Andahuaylillas. Lunch will be served in a local restaurant in Sicuani. At 5 pm you will reach the town of Cusco and a guide will take you to a hotel for the night.
Day 8 – Cusco (B)
Cusco is located 3200 meters above sea level. A guided city tour is on the program for the afternoon. Cusco has a marvelous historic square with colonial cathedrals; you will visit the Templo del Sol, which was the heart of the Inca Empire. The tour includes a visit to a huge fortress called Sacsayhuaman and other Inca ruins, Korincancha or Quenqo. In the evening you can taste local Peruvian cuisine in one of the restaurants. Spend the night in a hotel close to the city centre.
Day 9 – Sacred Valley (B, L)
We will set off for a day-trip to the Sacred Valley of the Incas straight after breakfast. Ancient ruins, gentle mountain slopes and scattered farming towns define the valley. We will take you in the afternoon to Pisac village, renowned for its markets, colourful handmade crafts and souvenirs. All the Cusco surroundings are scattered with Inca ruins. Finally, you will visit the town and the Inca archaeological site of Ollantaytambo close to the Urubamba river. You will spend the night in Cusco.
Day 10 – Machu Picchu (B)
You will board a train to Machu Picchu early in the morning and start the slow 4-hour-long zig-zag ride up the peak. The train takes you through the wild and beautiful nature of the “Lost City”. The magical ruins of Machu Picchu were rightfully included in the New Seven Wonders of the World. You will be guided through the site. Active tourists may climb the Huayna Picchu with a superb view. At the close of the day you will move to Aquas Calientes, where a train will take you back to Cusco or you can choose to stay overnight in Machu Picchu.
Day 11 – Cusco (B)
Day at your leisure, you can enjoy the atmosphere of historical town of Cusco. Cusco has a marvelous historic square with colonial cathedrals and interesting local craft markets where you can buy authentic souvenirs. Or you can have a stroll up to Sacsayhuaman – Inca fort and Puca Pucara. Puca Pucara means “red fort” but was more likely a storage area, hunting lodge, or stopping area for travelers rather than a fort. In the evening you can taste local Peruvian cuisine in one of the restaurants. Overnight in hotel, close to the city centre.
Based on your preference, you may complete the program without the Ecoadventure program in Amazon. The cost of the program without the Ecoadventure program in Amazon is USD 1920 / person. Transfer out on day 12 is included.
Day 12 – Cusco – Puerto Maldonado (B, L, D)
Upon your arrival in Puerto Maldonado, Peru´s Capital City of Biodiversity, we will welcome you at the airport. Then, we´ll start our program with a visit around the city, on a bus. Afterwards, we will go to Puerto Capitanía, to board a motorized riverboat, and we´ll navigate on the Madre de Dios River. During the journey, we will submerge into a fascinating natural environment, if we are lucky we will witness Ronsocos, Caimans, Turtles, Herons, Cormorants and other animal species in their natural environment. Arriving at the Ecoamazonia Lodge, we will enjoy an exquisite welcome drink, we´ll get settled in our bungalows and will have lunch together. Once satisfied, you will be conducted by our specialized tour guide through an interpretive trail conveniently signposted to the Caimán Cocha, a small lake with an abundant presence of specimens of Black Caiman (Melanosuchus Niger) and Caiman (Caiman Crocodilus). At the end of the evening, you will witness the spectacular sunset in the Amazon, an experience full of intensities overwhelming color ranges. Upon returning to the Lodge, a delicious dinner will await you, and enjoy free time to share unforgettable moments at the bar, equipped with an excellent game room and all the drinks you can imagine.
Day 13 – Amazonia (B, L, D)
After breakfast, we´ll start to hike towards the depths of the forest, on trails especially prepared, with bridges to cross gorges and rivers. During the journey, we will observe the flooded forest and a variety of Flora and Wildlife, and continuing we´ll get to the majestic Lake Apu Victor with its crystal clear waters, surrounded by marshes and giant trees. Afterwards, we´ll go up to the Observation Deck, from which we´ll enjoy a panoramic view on the lake, observing Parrots, Macaws, Toucans, Camungos, Shanshos, Herons and other animals, such as Caimans, Turtles, etc., and if we are lucky, we´ll have a chance to observe the Giant Otter, one of the rainforest´s most spectacular animals. After several hours, we will head back to the Lodge to enjoy lunch together. In the afternoon, accompanied by our specialized guide, we will visit Monkey Island, a unique place in the heart of Madre de Dios River, five minutes away from the Lodge. During the hike, we will observe extraordinary landscapes, with an exuberant flora, sheltering a variety of monkey species, in their natural habitat, such as Maquisapas, Capuchins, Small Lion Monkeys, Frailes, Cotos and other animal species like the Coati and Sloths and a great variety of birds. Finally, we´ll complete our visit of the island, enjoying the sunset, with the most impressive dusk in the jungle. Back to the lodge we conclude the day with a pleasant dinner.
Day 14 – Amazonia (B, L, D)
After breakfast, we will start an adventure in the virgin rainforest, and accompanied by a local guide, we´ll go on a hike in the deep jungle, to get to the Lost Cocha, which constitutes a refuge and feeding ecosystem for a huge variety of animals. There, we´ll have the chance to observe Otters, Caimans, Turtles, Sachavacas (Tapirs) Birds with multicolored feathers, the majestic Jaguar and a variety of fish species. This area is unique and proper to the Ecoamazonia´s Ecological Reserve, which maintains it intact, with huge swamps and diverse “aguajales”. Then, we´ll get to the extraordinary Observation Deck, from which we´ll be able to appreciate the immense and magical rainforest. Afterwards, we´ll have a pleasant canoe ride around the lake and will return to the lodge for lunch. Finally, we´ll complete our visit of the island, enjoying the sunset, with the most impressive dusk in the jungle. Back to the lodge we conclude the day with a pleasant dinner.
Day 15 – Puerto Maldonado – Lima (B)
After a restful night’s sleep, the morning begins with the sound of beautiful birdsongs from the Amazon Paradise. In our dining room awaits a farewell breakfast before embarking the return to Puerto Maldonado. You will be transported to the airport and continue on your flight to Lima. End of the program.
